Art of Attention with Elena Brower

IMG_2820I have spent the last 4 days in the presence and teaching of the gifted Elena Brower here in Toronto. The first time I experienced one of Elena’s classes was  4 or 5 years ago at her studio in New York City. Since that day, I’ve been waiting for the opportunity to learn from her again. The yoga teacher training was 14 hours over two days as well as an additional 4 hours of practice. She shared with us Vedic meditation, Katonah Yoga, Para Yoga, and Kundalini yoga which all together opened our hearts, re-patterned our bodies and minds and powerfully connected us to our centre and to each other. This experience confirmed again, the power of yoga when practiced intentionally and appropriately. Elena reinforced my belief that great teachers are good students. A great teacher is a life long student with an authentic self-practice. Authentic teaching is an offering of what we know, with the humility of honouring our teachers; sharing what we have learned without trying to prove anything.

The cleansing kriyas of Kundalini, the powerful mantras of Vedic meditation, and the transformational essence of Katonah and Para yoga brought us back to what Elena calls our home frequency. A place where creativity flows and freedom abounds. As always I love to share what I have learned. If you are interested in learning more, please get in touch.
